Many cultures believe that receiving the evil eye will cause misfortune or injury. Talismans created to protect against the evil eye are also frequently called "evil eyes".

History:
The concept of the evil eye dates back thousands of years and is believed to have originated in ancient Greece and Rome. It was also a common belief in ancient Middle Eastern cultures and is still widely believed in many parts of the world today.

In ancient times, the evil eye was believed to be a curse that could be cast by someone with malicious intentions. The curse was believed to cause harm to the recipient, either physically or emotionally. As a result, people began to wear amulets and talismans with the symbol of the evil eye to protect themselves from harm.

Popularity:
The evil eye is still a popular symbol today, with many people wearing jewelry and accessories featuring the symbol. It is often given as a gift to loved ones as a symbol of protection and good luck. The evil eye is also popular in interior design, with many people incorporating it into their home decor to ward off negative energies.

Gift Giving:
The evil eye is a popular gift choice for a variety of occasions, including birthdays, weddings, and baby showers. It is believed to offer protection and good luck, making it a thoughtful and meaningful gift. Evil eye jewelry is particularly popular, with many different designs and styles available to suit a variety of tastes.

In summary, the evil eye is a popular symbol that has been used for thousands of years to offer protection against negative energies and forces. It is still widely believed in many parts of the world today and is often worn as a talisman or amulet. The popularity of the evil eye as a gift is due to its symbolic meaning of protection and good luck, making it a meaningful and thoughtful choice for loved ones.

    Care instructions

Gemstones & soft Precious Metals lose their sparkle from tarnish & films from oils, perfume, etc. Safely clean jewelry using a clear liquid soap (no lotions, aloe or oils), such as Method hand soap. Combine soap & warm water, add jewelry & swirl. Rinse under running water & air dry on a towel, blot gently. You can safely do this every day, **just be sure you dry the piece before storing

    Gemstones

High quality, genuine, gemstones and precious metals* are used to create fashionable pieces that are durable but delicate. However, please never tug at or roughly handle your handmade jewelry. Many gemstones have internal features like lines and cracks that appear to be fractures. These features make them beautiful, interesting and often give them a wonderful sparkle...but these features can make them very fragile. If dropped onto a hard surface they can chip or break. Remember, gemstones are crystals.
